COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

PROTOCOLS SANITAIRES

Stay safe in your Marseillan holiday home and follow these sensible precautions.

Mask wearing in France may no longer be compulsory in public, but feel free to wear a mask on your weekly visit to Marseillan's market on Tuesday, if you have reason to be cautious, and follow local advice on social distancing.

Before your stay, our cleaners will have aired the home, and taken every effort to make the property as safe as possible with surfaces, switches, handles and remote controls cleaned ready for your arrival.

  • Please ensure that you wipe all worktops, surfaces, switches, handles, doors etc with antiseptic or disinfectant throughout your stay.

  • Open all windows at least twice a day to properly ventilate each room.

  • We recommend that you leave your shoes by the door on entering the home and wash or sanitise your hands each time you come in.

  • Before first use, we suggest that you wash all crockery, glassware & cutlery. If using a dishwasher, choose the hottest setting.

  • When using washing machine, please select 60°c cycle.

For your own protection, we suggest that you wear gloves when touching books, magazines, CDs and DVDs etc. Otherwise please wash or santise your hands after each use.

NEW CHANGEOVER DAYS

Currently, we are no longer arranging automatic same-day changeovers, in order to allow extra time between bookings at each home so that our houses may be thoroughly aired, cleaned and prepared for our next visitors.

This means that our guests may take advantage of lower fares for midweek travel by rail, sea and air.

We have also made arrangements for CONTACTLESS key collection on arrival.

REMEMBER YOUR PROOF OF VACCINATION

The rules on proof of vaccination for admission to public places including restaurants are changing as France transitions away from the initial strict regulations of 2020-2021.

Since rules may vary from region to region as the situation changes, you may need this for journeys by train and many other public transport routes, as some cultural events.

So download the French app in English here

https://bonjour.tousanticovid.gouv.fr/index-en.html

and upload your proof of vaccination.

Paper vaccination certificates are also widely accepted.

UK residents who are triple jabbed may order a free copy of their vaccination certificate in French by phoning 119 (in UK) a couple of weeks before travelling to France. The service can also provide you with a French translation.
